I'm naming my first child Jackie Bradley Jr

Red Sox don't have the starting pitching to win games this year. Is there anyone formidable after Price? Red Sox still have Panda on the team. How will Hanley handle first base? What is going on with this Rusney guy? John Farrell is on the hot seat. I miss Don.

All those statements and questions were brought up as the Red Sox were starting the season and they were all fair points. We still don't have the consistent starting pitching to win games, but David Price hasn't figured out his shaky mechanics yet and E-Rod is not back. Wright and Price have been all star caliber pitchers so far and deserve all the credit. Wright has pitched himself into a permanent spot in the rotation and Pretty Ricky, Wow. Panda is injured and off our team for the rest of the season, thank god. Hanley looks like a gold glove caliber first baseman and looks very comfortable. He's happy and it shows. Rusney is no where to be found, but this Brock Holt guy is showing up big time. John Farrell is always going to be on the hot seat but with the record they have now, he's safe. I still miss Don but Dave is not that bad.

Through 34 games, the Red Sox have the same record as they did in 2013 at 21-13. Can you say Gold Bottles? I believe in this team and see it all around. The Red Sox have had a historic three game sweep of the A's. It's the first time in Sox history that they have scored 13+ runs in three consecutive games and it looks like they ain't slowing down anytime soon. They are tied with the Cubs in all of baseball for runs with 197. Yes, that's the best team in baseball Cubs. They have the best run differential in the AL with +38 (and going up after this game). The Sox have 5 players hitting over .300, FIVE. That's insane. The Red Sox offense has got to the point where I don't even sweat if they give up 3 runs.

JACKIE BRADLEY JR. This man is on a tear. He went 3-5 tonight with 2 home runs and 6 rbis, continuing his now 17 game hitting streak. He has now slugging .579 after tonight and passed the MVP, Mike Trout. He's hitting .322 with 6 HR, and 28 RBIs. 13 RBIS IN 3 GAMES!! THAT'S CRAZY. He has more rbis than Stanton, Machado, and Bautista to name a few. His hot streak in August last year does not look like a fluke. I am left speechless for your performance so far this season. Keep it up JBJ!

Chris Young has finally been getting his at bats and it's starting to click. He went 2-5 with an rbi double and is now hitting .256 which is getting better. He went 3-4 yesterday and he deserves the credit for his hot bat. He seems to be in a rhythm now and I hope he can keep it up.

Another great game for Bogey and Pedey. Bogey made a great diving play in the later innings to save a hit. He looked like a young Jeter during it. He went 3-4 and is sneakily hitting .328 on the season. His power is coming in and he's showing how last year wasn't a freak. Pedey went 1-4 with a 2 run ding dong and should be up for the comeback player of the year. He's hitting .306.

Pretty Ricky was not on his game compared to other starts this season, but he was really good. He went 6.2 IP with 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, and 5 SO. His ERA went up to 3.11 and he's now 6-1. He's backing his words up when he said that last year was really not like him and how he really was badly injured and damn is he right.

Red Sox stay rolling.

May Clay is Bae

So far May has got off to a great start for Clay Buchholz. It's a great confidence booster for him and let's keep it going. I know from the beginning all Red Sox fans believed in him and truly thought the best of his skills. That's the problem with a guy like Clay. We give him so much shit because he is so fucking streaky. He is due for a prolonged DL stint in a few weeks and then could come back and pitch a no no. He's unpredictable. He's not a guy like Porcello who is reliable for a 3.00 era and 6 innings each game. Clay could be dealing and then one bad pitch and bam he lost the game (just like in Houston). I gotta give credit where credit is due. His stat line was 7 innings pitched with 3 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts. Props to you Clay Buchholz on getting your first win and having a great game. May the 4th (and the whole month) be with (and good for) you.

I think the world is ending because we saw a Clay Buchholz win and Chris Young hit all in the same game. Chris Young has been terrible for us so far and hasn't hit well against anyone, lefty or righty. The Sox are now 1-7 in a game where Chris Young has started. He's hitting .167 on the season going 5/30. He's known to be a lefty stud but only hitting .231 off of them. That's not good enough if he's our lefty specialist. Farrell needs to sit him down and play Holt. Holt has hit against lefties really damn well in his career with a .358 average. Please make it happen Farrell.

There is no way to avoid playing Young because he's our only bench outfielder. When we do double switches, pitch hits, or rest a guy, he's the one to go. This is the time where having a utility guy like Holt starting really hurts us. We can't be as flexible with our roster/team. I think we should call up Rusney Castillo and give him a shot at starting in left. He's been doing better in triple A and we need a stronger bench. Holt, who can play anywhere, and Young, who says he can play against lefties, would both strengthen our bench. We can send down Layne. Make the move dealing Dave. We trust you.

JBJ also continues his now 10 game hitting streak with a single. Rutledge stays hot in his limited at bats going 2-3 with an rbi and walk. I really like Rutledge. He's hitting .462. He does not get a lot of at bats but he makes every at bat count. He has the grit and grind of a Red Sox player. He never gives up and always puts in a good at bat. Gotta give credit to Chili Davis. He's got our offense really working hard and focusing on not wasting any at bat. He especially emphasizes 2 out hitting and it's shown in all our stats. We lead every offensive category in the AL expect home runs.

Big Papi continues his hot streak with another home run today to give the Sox the lead. He has now tied Gary Sheffield on the MLB all-time home run list with 509 and Manny Ramirez on the MLB all-time XBH life with 1,122. If these stats don't scream HOFer plus his 3 championships and 9 seasons of 30/100, then you are fucking crazy. I'll take Papi's side any time of the day. See you in Cooperstown.

OH HOW SWEEP IT IS

The Red Sox are in first place. Yes, you just read that right. The Red Sox are in first place. We needed a hot start and we got one! it's May 1st and the Sox are in first place!! To add icing on the cake, the Yankees are in last!

The Mayor of Ding Dong city with a game tying two run ding dong in the 5th to make it interesting again! It was a monster shot over right field and once again we saved Price's ass from a loss. Price was not on his game again and has 25 EARNED RUNS. Buchholz looks better than him through this point but it is not time to panic. Do people not remember Kershaw's first two months last year and then the rest of his season? Or Arrieta's second half? Price sucks now but he's an ace and has the skills to get back to form. We're winning so everything is good right now. Price will act like our ace eventually. We need to keep the faith in him. Stop being hypocrites Red Sox fans! If anyone knows he fucked up, it's Price. He counts himself responsible for everything and was missing his spots in big situations. If he is still pitching like this in June then we can talk.

Our offense is the league's best and we showed that again today. After a sub-par game from Price, Shaw bailed him out and then the Vasquez effect came into place to get him a win. Christian Vasquez hit his first home run of the season and my oh my was it a home run. It was a moonshot over the monster that left the park in the 7th inning! Price retired the side in the 7th and did not know he would come away with the win. The rest was history. Koji with one earned run in the 8th and Kimbrel with his 8th save! HOW SWEEP IT IS!!

Another game winning home run off of Betances. And people say the Yankees' bullpen is shut down. Bull Shit. Our bullpen is equally as good and we don't even have Smith back. With Smith back, it is a nasty 6-7-8-9. LETS GOO!

The Red Sox are 15-10. They haven't been 5 games over 500 since 2013 and you know what happened then! We are playing some good baseball right now and we don't have even Price in ace form or Smith and E-Rod back. WOW! Just imagine when everyone is back and we're all clicking then. We are going to be even more dangerous!! #GOLDBOTTLES

Final: RED SOX 8 - YANKEES 6 FOR THE SWEEP

THE YANKEE KILLER STRIKES AGAIN

It was a 2-2 game bottom of the 8th Bogey on first with one out and one of the Yankees' best relieves up in Betances. That was when the hopes and dreams of all Yankee fans were crushed. Big Papi took a bad slider all the way for a 2 RUN DING DONG OVER THE MONSTER!! The Yankees' bullpen all of a sudden looked beatable. The Yankees suck chant was all around Fenway. Kimbrel gets his 7th save and the Red Sox win!

That was the dramatic ending to a great game but let's start from the beginning. Henry Owens shaved his long locks from the advice of Pedroia to get out of his slump. It worked. He was wild and let 10 people on, but did not let the game get out of hand. His start looked way worse than it actually was. He induced 4 double plays! He came up big when he was in a jam and ended strong. He went 6 innings with 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 earned runs, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts. He did what he needed to do to keep the game close for the Red Sox to strike back and the goal was achieved!

Tanka looked dominate for 6 innings, but it all came apart in the 7th. The Red Sox couldn't get anything going, but all of a sudden it just clicked. He gave up a huge game tying double to JBJ after back to back singles from Shaw and Holt! Tanka went 6.2 innings with 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 earned runs, and 5 strikeouts. Koji came in the 8th to lock it down and got the win! You know what happens next.

This win could be a kick starter for the Red Sox. The Yankees are struggling and now we have our two best pitchers in Porcello and Price to finish off this series. Big Papi is on pace for another 30 and 100 season and he's 40 years old. WOW. He again does not look like he's retiring and let's soak this all in. One of the greatest of all time! The grit and grind of this team is amazing. We never give up. We're the comeback kids with the 2013 vibe oozing all around us!

Final: Red Sox 4 - Yankees 2!

Kimbrel redeems himself

Rick Porcello is now 4-0 with his 12th straight start of 6.1 or more innings, leading the AL. He was dealing today. It was a pitcher's duel all night and Pretty Ricky came out on top. He went 6.1 innings with 4 hits, 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts. The Vasquez effect keeps working as his era drops to below 4! He only needs 1 run to dominate and he did it again tonight. He also swung the bat pretty well too. He has more hits this year than the injured fat fuck Pablo. A pitcher has more hits than a position player. Just let that sink in. That's how bad Pablo is. I can also tell he's been taking up base running lessons from the master himself, Hustle Hanley. Porcello flew down the line. He's gonna be the first player ever to win the AL CY Young and NL Silver Slugger for pitcher. What a game, What a pitcher, What a great catcher behind the plate!

JBJ provided the only run the Red Sox needed to pull off the win. He hit a solo shot to right field in the 7th. He's a streaky hitter, just like the team, but when he is on, he's raking. He became our savior again and continues his hot streak. His swing is so beautiful when he's right. I love it!

The bullpen was another strong point tonight. The Lawn Mower, Robbie Ross Jr, came into the 7th with 2 on and 1 out and did not allow a run! He mowed them all down and threw Aybar the nastiest breaking ball to strike him out and end the inning. Maybe it's the Vasquez effect again, but Robbie Ross Jr looks really good this season. Who knew he could pitch this well. Koji came into the 8th and did his normal thing. He struck out one and kept it scoreless. The difference between Koji's fastball and the nasty split makes him so hard to hit off of. It's so fun to watch. High fives for everyone! And finally, Kimbrel gets the save he's been looking for. After the blown save last night, he needed a night like tonight to start fresh. He was dominate again and struck out two. Game Over. THE RED SOX WIN AND ARE NOW OVER 500 AT 10-9!

Final: Red Sox 1 - Braves 0

Is Porcello our number 2?

Who would've thought that through 2 weeks Rick Porcello would look like our best number 2 starter. I know for fact I sure wouldn't have. It has to be the Christian Vasquez effect in work because he did it again today. On a day where the Red Sox bats were alive, Pretty Ricky went 7 innings with 6 hits, 3 runs, 3 earned runs, 1 walk, and 9 strikeouts. He has found his form and is finally doing something the Red Sox starting pitchers haven't seen so far which is consistency. Props to him for pitching well, but even more props to Vasquez for pressing his buttons and making him click. It's a magical duo that can cause some harm for the future. Keep it going Pretty Ricky.

The Red Sox offense is so streaky. We went from a one hitter shutout last night to 7 runs tonight. Mookie came out of his slump tonight. He was 2-3 with a 2 run shot over the monstah! Big Papi just keeps owning Chris Archer! He has a .380 average with 2 hrs, 3 doubles, 14 rbis, and 3 walks. What a beast! He doesn't look like he's slowing down anytime soon as he leads the AL with 7 doubles. He went 2-4 with 3 rbis.

Bogey left the game with left quad tightness and is considered day to day. It's not a serious issue and it's times like these that we're thankful to have the Brockstar on our team! Let's win the series tomorrow boys!

Final: Red Sox 7 - Rays 3

ROBBIE ROSS MOWED THEM ALL DOWN

After a meltdown from their bullpen, the Red Sox needed a strong outing from Kelly and the story ends there. Joe Kelly of course worked so hard that he hurt his shoulder in only .2 of an inning. He left the game with shoulder impingement (whatever the hell that is) and is now on the 15 day DL. It'll probably be 6 weeks until he'll pitch again. It's sad for someone who had a great spring training and end of the year last year. The bullpen took over after he left and the bullpen was the story of the night until extras. Heath Hembree, who was just called up today, was just what we needed right after Kelly went down. He went 3.1 innings pitched with 2 hits, no runs, no walks, and 4 strikeouts. The other high light was the lawn mower, Robbie Ross Jr. He mowed hitters down for 3 innings only allowing a hit with 4 strikeouts. Most fans cringe when they see him coming him to the game based off of his previous track record, but today was a pleasant surprise. He was great and hopefully we see him mow more hitters down in the future.

Tazawa and Kimbrel posted fine outings allowing no runs but then the bullpen got shakey. In the 10th inning, Matt Barnes gave up three runs with only 1 earned. He gave up a solo shot to Kiermaier to break the tie and then a double and intentional walk followed. A big error by Shaw gave the Rays the bases loaded with two outs. It was Shaw's fault, but in his defense it was a really hard hit ball that almost went off his glove. It was a tough play. It could've ended the inning, but then it got ugly. Layne gave up a ground rule double to Jennings and it was history. The Red Sox couldn't come back in the tenth and lost.

The offense was invisible for the whole game. Drew Smyly went 8 innings with only 1 hit, 2 walks, and 11 strikeouts. The Rays offense was missing too, until the tenth inning when it exploded. WHY DID JOHN FARRELL NOT PUT BROCK HOLT INTO THE GAME. He was on the bench and we were tied up in the ninth with JBJ coming up to bat. JBJ hasn't done good offensively this season so far and Brock HAS. The brockstar provides easy pop and hits well against lefties and rightites. PLAY TO WIN THE GAME JOHN FARRELL. HOLT NEEDS TO PLAY MORE and this was a perfect opportunity for him. COME ON. It looks like we'll be saying goodbye to you in the near future if nothing changes. So, adios John.
